I've read that about them before. Gotta be at least a little pretention in most bands with 13 minute songs.

yeah, but you can say that about plenty of screamo bands. most kids in bands think they're hot ****, but they won't come out and really act like it, they just find the most underhanded way to be snide. constantly quoting Camus and Foucault is getting pretty old. It was annoying when Orchid did it. Stop.

The Spectacle is cool stuff. Occasionally melodic.

I found Alexisonfire early stuff vaguely interesting, but their appeal to me disintegrated pretty drastically. Plus my inner douchebag makes me bring up that I'm pretty sure they're just post-hardcore.

Is there any love for City of Caterpillar here? I haven't heard their S/T in two years, but it's doing some damage to me now.

I used to listen to YAGE a lot. One of the best screamo bands ever.

For those who don't know them, they are from Cologne, Germany and are dead since 2004.

WOW, that's amazing! you know Ekkaia!

They were an awsome band. When they split, I think some members played in a band called Madame Germen. Both have a similar sound. You may like them.

I love another spanish band from Barcelona called Based on a Lie. They are not that "crust", it's more like hardcore, metal, screamo (as described by themselves).

If you have some problems to find some records just ask me.

wow! my account got deleted for advertising my blog. apparently you don't take lightly to that sort of stuff, LOL. but anyway it's cool to see The Spectacle name dropped. I love that band.

my favourite screamo bands would have to be mamma, jeg blör... and iwrotehaikusaboutcannibalisminyouryearbook. but in the more "common sound" of screamo (arpeggios, raspy vocals, progressive metal-tinged emo-ish sound), my favourite is Quiritatio's newest album. they sound sort of like The Spectacle.

all of the bands I mentioned are up for free download on my blog, which I can pm you. posting the link will just have me banned for life again! (sorry about that btw lol.)
