Well I'm glad that you've found a forum where you can connect with others!
I apologize, what I meant to say was that you're succeeding in making others envious of yourself.
As for other "emo fans", I don't think there are too many people on here that had actual interaction with the mid-90s emo scene.
I'm guessing...stackable corpse, CaptainSuck, figurehead, wrestlewithjimmy, and bloodorflies.
That's probably pretty wrong, but whatever.

no problem. I apologize too. Turning people green with envy was the last thing on my mind.

I'm not bragging but I was there when the San Diego scene started kicking off and got to see bands that no-one here will ever see or has seen. I guess I was in the right place at the right time. I'd rather say I went to an Evergreen show where nothing happened than say I saw that knob-head from MCR get hit in the head by a bottle of Piss at Reading.
Sorry...where was I? Oh yeah.....Moss Icon=emo. weleasewoger72=old-school emo kid.
P.S. Old school emo kid does sound kinda funny!
Wow dude, Im not jealous at all, that's one of the coolest things Ive ever seen. I think back to where I was in 1994-2004 from 8-18 and think of All of the awesome bands that I missed because I wasnt old enough and had no idea existed. I kick myself in the nut sack when I saw that Kodan Armada came to Baltimore's Charm City Art Space in 2003 when I was in high school and I was listening to New Found Glory and some other popular punk band's. I dont think there is much of an emo/screamo scene in Baltimore but oh well. Having Angel Hair play at your house! And seeing the very first locust shows, that's really respectable dude. Im sure Old locust sounded nothing like they do now, weren't they more just straight up death/grind. At least those are the earliest recordings I have of them before they even had bobby bray on synth haha. I think he played guitar right? Well, you're a God in my book. Hearing history about stuff from a first hand source is allways interesting because you see more about what happened than what wikipedia historians write.

Cheers mate.

I'm always complaining about how crap the scene is in Oxford but I did miss Funeral Diner when they played here and Daughters played last month which was news to me. They supported some band called The Fall Of Troy, who I have never heard of before.
I do miss the whole experience of seeing bands playing in the States. When In The States I saw so many bands play in Basements, Hallways/Living rooms of peoples houses, even church halls. That doesn't seem to happen over here very often - most bands seem to play pubs and clubs with 5 ft stages. You North American guys don't know how lucky you are to get to see real DIY hardcore shows.
Anyway, wasn't this post about Moss Icon?

Haha, I can't believe you've never heard of the Fall of Troy. They're really popular over here in America. I was thinking they were big in the UK as well but I guess not. Daughters are awesome live. Ive seen them two times. I really want to see Funeral Diner too, I just got their album doors open and its awesome. Yea I guess we are pretty lucky heh. How come you left the states?

My parents divorced. My dad moved back to The States and I went with him. My mum stayed here in The U.K. A few years back I started to miss all my friends and family and thought it would be best to move back out here. So here I am....cold, wet, miserable, my teeth have turned bad, Mary Poppins is on TV everynight, drinking tea all day, watching soccer hooligans smashing up the town I live in, and watching Tony Blair trying to wash the sh*t off his tongue from when he had it so far up Bush's ass. And do you know what? I don't miss The States at all! (apart from the gigs of course!)

I totally didnt get the memo =( lol, yea I saw on their myspace headline which translates to Funeral Diner...is dead but I was thinking they were aluding to their three sides dead vinyl discography or something. Well that sucks, it seems like someone from the band is still doing the mailorder for their stuff though because thats how I got the album lol.

haha, your self-stereotypes are amusing, I dont think of any of that when I think of the U.K. I just think of it as a great place for history. Well thats sweet that you're happy where you are. I've allways wondered what shows are like accross the pond. It kind of sucks where I am as well, good bands rarely come to baltimore, only death/grind hybrids haha. Its very rare that there is a good basement/house show going on...from out of towners that is.
