Don't use "big" words, she'll get confused!

My favourite "emo" bands are November Blessing, which is more of just an Acoustic player, but, my other favourites are: Thursday, Typecast, Alesana, From Autumn To Ashes, From First To Last, Mozart Season, Pensive and Asteria, for a bit of a list.

My Chemical Romance is the most mainstream band besides Fall Out Boy today in music. Mainstream bands are pretty much never emo, they're usually scene or fake. Also, you'd get more respect poster, whatever your name is, if you actually typed in complete sentences, had correct grammar, spelling and punctuation. Go to the local clubs around where you live and find some REAL bands, and maybe go to some f*cking shows and then call yourself emo.

Good grammar doesn't mean shit if you're ignorant and have no idea what emo is.

P.S. Alesana suck.

Not really irony. My bands aren't Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance. They're the ones on the music channels. I've never seen any video from my bands on MuchMusic or MTV, have you? Oh and even if you had no clue what emo was, but had proper grammar, people wouldn't be making fun of her because she sounds stupid, at least she'd be able to form a complete sentence. I know alot of people who don't know what "real" emo is, but I don't make fun of them because they know how to spell, I'd just explain what it is if asked, not bitch at them and calling them retarded.

I think xcult_classicx was saying "oh the irony" because even though you know that Fall out Boy and MCR arent emo, you still have a shallower interpretation of what real emo is it seems. Most of the bands that you listed are still on major/major indie labels. Thursday has emo roots and are damn good but don't really reflect the true spirit of emo. A lot of people think just because someone sings in a high winey voice over clean guitar picking means that a band is emo. look at the education thread for more info.

I know what emo is. I know it's not just about cutting yourself and depression, but what I meant was, the bands I like have been labeled emo. I know it means emotional, or emotional hardcore, which is emo-core, actually. I'm not actually saying my bands are all emo, the modernized mainstream version of emo or the actual "emotional" meaning, I'm also not saying I'm emo in any way, but every single one of the bands with the exception of November Blessing, as nobody has heard of him really, has been labeled more than once as emo, the mainstream version of it.
