"new song?

So, we - or the guitarists at least - are working on a new song. It's about 75% finished, needing drums and vocals mostly.

The band is going to try to have a couple new ones, maybe a cover too, ready for the Bay Area shows. They will all be recorded, mixed and produced by Rex Shelverton in his lair in SF.

They should have a 1995 POP feel with a little bit of an update. Why stunt creativity for nostalgia's sake?"

what does musicbanter think? will their new material suck or not?

It's typical for bands to do this and have the song(s) suck, but I have faith in Portraits Of Past. So, I'm thinking the songs will at least be along the lines of decent/okay, hopefully badass.

personally, i don't think it'll be that bad. it's better than Metallica covering Master Of Puppets or Ride The Lightning and adapting them to the new St. Anger sound. haha

wasn't ever too big of a fan of them, so I'm not that excited.

i never could get into pop until about a month or so ago, theyre pretty kickass now though
