it took me a while too, but now they're one of my favorite bands.

my only advice is to listen to stuff that sounds like them, see if you dig it, and if you decide you do then return to iwrotehaikus...

its all a matter of oppinion, the one thing about iwrotehaikus is their recording quality is horrible but there is something about their childish melodies throughout their songs on top of awesome screams that appeal to me.
