Default Rilo Kiley

(I'm almost certain someone made a thread on them, but I couldn't find it. If you can find it, post the linkage.)

They're good. Catchy. Maybe a little too bubblegummish for some.

Anyway, http://www.rilokiley.net/ is your ultimate source for them, including tons of mp3s and videos.

Songs I like:
Portions for Foxes
Go Ahead
Wires and Waves
My Slumbering Heart

Yours (if any)??

Yep I do like them, she has a verry sweet voice and portions for foxes is very catchy.
I love the lyrics.
'' And the talking leads to touching and the touching leads to sex and then there is no mystery left''

I like rilo kiley. Check out the cd The Execution of All Things. Great cd. Jenny was a 1980's child star on tvs and movies. Do some research you'll find some old pics of her. My fav was when she made a guest apperance on the Golden Girls.

That's kinda interesting. I really do get the impression that Jenny is one of a kind. Oh, and I was thinking you were the one that made the other Rilo Kiley thread. But, I couldn't find it.

Good band - nice straight/simple/good indie I thinks! Other good stuff of similar ilk to check out is Viva Voce and Joy Zipper.

I made a thread, but even I can't find it!

Jenny has ridiculous amounts of charisma. It oozes from her on stage, but it's her stage relationship with Blake as well that makes it so good to see them live.

More good songs:

Love and War 11/11/46
Bulletproof
Wires and Waves

This said, they're not exactly the most inspiring or original band around. Belle and Sebastian do this a lot better, and they're a little less bubblegum at times too.

I think they're great. Maybe not original (originality is way overrated anyway), but they're an enjoyable listen.

Love and War has to be one of my favourite tunes. Portions for Foxes is damn catchy too.

Gotta love the lyrics to "It's A Hit" on More Adventurous, but the music generally is so plodding and average its kinda hard to like more than a couple of songs off each LP.

Jenny is all the sex, though.
