I think it would serve you well to develop a deeper appreciation of Joy Division.

If you miss a show, there's another one a few weeks later...
I'm seriously jealous of that. Living in Nova Scotia we don't get much by way of quality music acts... well I shouldn't say "quality" I just mean the type of music I'm in to.

I'll give them a closer listen. After all The National can be a band that demands a closer listen sometimes too.

Default My Tastemaking of the National

In my opinion, these are the best tracks taken from their few years on the music scene. I have used this exact list to send to venue owners and personal contacts wanting to hear more about them.

Amazing music, and even better lyrics. To date, best alt/indie band ive listened to. Simply copy & paste each line into youtube to enjoy the song. More than once, i have had every one of these tracks open in youtube on 15 different browser tabs. So ya, you can say I like their music.

The National- Apartment Story:

The National- Bloodbuzz Ohio:

The National- Sorrow:

The National- Cardinal Song:

The National- All The Wine:

The National- Thirsty:

The National- Fake Empire:

The National- Slow Show:

The National- Runaway:

The National- Santa Clara:

The National- Vanderlye Crybaby Geeks:

The National- Mistake For Strangers:

The National- Afraid of Everyone:

The National- Start a War:
