Saw them in Phoenix on 1/31. Waited MONTHS for that show and it was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I seriously love them in a special way... they definitely have a unique sound. I almost feel like it takes a minute to catch on. Once you get it, you're hooked.

Also- I think they an amazing sort of 'call and response' in their songs, and they are able to create tension and release in a way that mellllllows out my brain

Yes yes yes, thank you for putting this into words! I always attributed it to a simple layering of awesome melodies and different instruments, but really, it's they way all these layers converge homophonically and climax in an orgasm of mellowness

I missed their show again last month. Old age is making me say "**** it" too often when there are weeknight shows. I told myself I wouldn't skip them this time around...sigh.

I've only seen them when they did the small Rob & Zach Show tour - and it ended up being Rob solo because Zach's wife went into labor.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Pinback played at the club where I bartend. At one point the singer was crawling up and down the bar. Killer night.

Anyone else still listening to this band?

Their latest, Information Retrieved, was pretty skippable, but their first 4 albums are all excellent.

My ranks (album order):

Summer (3) > This (1) > Autumn (4) > Blue (2) >>> Information (5)

I just recently got into this band cause my bandmate invited us all to see them live in September, I have to say they are nothing short of phenomenal and I'm quite excited to see them.

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

Pinback is doing some Texas / West Coast shows. 12 total. http://www.pinback.com/

I would lose my mind if they released an actually good album. Information Retrieved was garbage in my opinion, but Crow has released some good stuff lately as solo / Goblin Cokc.
