I feel like a lot of the songs on the Distortion album have nothing to do with each other. I think he wrote them at different times in his life, couldn't find anything to do with them, and decided to put them together with distortion as the only common element. Its a good album though. I've only heard bits and pieces of the rest of their discography, haven't really bothered but a lot of it is unintentionally hilarious to me.
This song is definitely not supposed to be funny but it just ****ing is. I'm sorry for laughing at your pain Stephen Meritt.

Wow. I'd never heard of Magnetic Fields and have been previewing 69 Love Songs, really loving it.

Favorite. Everytime I listen to this, it reminds me of my past relationship.

Annie Clark (St. Vincent) and John Vanderslice do a really awesome cover of Yeah, Oh Yeah!.

There really isn't a bad song on 69 Love Songs, just some strange fillers.

Oh man, I love her music.. amazing voice and she can play the electric guitar like a badass. The fact that she's also a magnetic fields fan makes it all the better. Are you familiar with any of her material?
