I feel like a lot of the songs on the Distortion album have nothing to do with each other. I think he wrote them at different times in his life, couldn't find anything to do with them, and decided to put them together with distortion as the only common element. Its a good album though. I've only heard bits and pieces of the rest of their discography, haven't really bothered but a lot of it is unintentionally hilarious to me.
This song is definitely not supposed to be funny but it just ****ing is. I'm sorry for laughing at your pain Stephen Meritt.
