This record's a compact discappointment. It's only good for a few tracks. After the novelty's subsided, you find it becomes monotonous and tends to drag. There is virtually no variation in tempo at all, nor much creative and expansive thought in the song structures. You're three quarters through and it feels as if you've been listening to the same track over and over for hours on end.

A loada bolleaux.

I might change my opinion.

A big apology to each individual member of Beach House. This album is tha shiz. It's almost without flaw. Band with great potential. Please don't give up on it, after the 3rd spin it'll almost sound good.

Yeah, the first few songs are quite gorgeous. But this band never really could hold my attention for a whole album. We'll see what happens with this one.

Yeah, it's definitely happening. Zebra and Take care feel like instant classics. Definitely a front runner for album of the year.

I gave the new album a listen in December but it didn't do much for me. It wasn't bad but .....eh. I'll give it another listen or two to see if it grows on me.
