Justin definitely took a different turn in his new album, likely to amplify his voice in a more suitable style. I love the simplicity of For Emma Forever Ago though. He's a magician live

Saw him/them live in august. Completely magical. Bloodbank was amazing with a full band.

Um has anyone read this yet? Bon Iver won a Grammy for BEST NEW ARTIST 2012. What in the ****? He's been around for years. Oh and there are tumblr pages dedicated to 'who he is' so the mainstream public who have never heard of him can find out. It makes me weep.

Ah yes the Grammys strike again. I really do scratch my head in wonder at the logic of these award ceremonies. Come on like, how could they not know about Bon Iver and Arcade Fire before?? Maybe it's their idea of earning 'indie cred'.

He declined to perform at them, as he didn't fancy collaborating with someone more famous in order to perform.

I like his earnestness in his speech. He didn't shy away from how he really felt, but he did it tastefully. I think if he was too aggressive it would have made for one hell of an awkward moment.

My user title is dedicated to the misunderstanding of the band name. Seriously though, there's a thing called google.

Just watched the awards speech. Really weird award... the other nomonies for "Best New Artist of 2012"... The Band Perry, J.Cole, Nicki Minaj, Skrillex... these are new artists???

I don't get it. But it was a good acceptance speech in the ways that Canwll pointed out.

Makes me picture a big, gentle, lovable bear from some children's cartoon.
