Really enjoyed Two Dancers, and the vocals have a Billy MacKensie vibe I really liked.
On the whole a pretty good album what might improve the more I listen

By the way, the Scooby Doo voice gives the songs off of that album some character. If you like it, you like.

It's like people complain about the singer from Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. Their music just wouldn't be the same without Alec Ounsworth–certainly not better.

Did anyone else get their new album Smother? I'm liking it so far but it seems to be a more difficult album to get into than Two Dancers, there seems to be a bit more experimentation and more complex rhythms but at the same time more variety. One noticeable difference is that Tom Flemming's vocals seem to be more present, his deep vocals complementing Hayden Thorpe's falsetto very well. The standout track for me so far is the final track 'End Come Too Soon'.

Nice. The Vocals for this band are really interesting (not in the I don't like it so I'm trying to be nice kind of a way - but in the actual sense of it being intriguing) - you could have just said that the vocals for this band are really intriguing. - no that doesn't sound right.

Good band.

Smother is one of the best releases this year, so far at least.

Really interesting album. I love it when something genuinely different starts to receive the attention they deserve

Bump because it's been 10 years and I'm digging them again. Very solid output, except for the last album, all the other ones are quality material. After the first album they definitely get more refined and less "gimmicky". Now officially defunct, if anyone is wondering.
