I don't know if I ever posted a reply to this directly, but the song ended up being not so great.

I was given his new double-cd of rareities and b-sides. last night and I believe it was on there. I'd say I'll write an album review but I never get around to doing that ****.

I'd like to hear your review.
I haven't heard the album yet but I'm excited about it because I have a feeling that it is aimed at people who are less interested in the new direction. (I love both directions, by the way)

Iron & Wine is an artist that will always put me in a relaxed state listening to, no matter what I'm feeling when I start listening.

Alot of people know him from the cover of Postal Service's "Such Great Heights" from the Garden State Soundtrack.

Love Iron & Wine. Got to know them because of the In the Reins EP they made with Calexico (I'm a huge Calexico-fan). Have seen them live with Calexico and at the Lowlands festival and at the right time, their music can be outright magical.

I just bought Walking Far from Home. I guess its new this week.

Highly electronic. Highly Melodic. This is some crazy ****.

This is my favorite so far...

Wow, what the **** happened there?
If that's how the new Iron & Wine album is going to sound, then that's it for me.
Loved the acoustic simpleness...

Branch out my friend. Like a tree. Thats how old Sam Beam would want you to do it. I heard he's leaving the I&W project anyhow and putting down roots in another project. So this is his final, autumn-song album where he decides to change color and spread his wings a bit, you know?

I branch out all the time, but I never really liked electronic music, apart from a few exceptions.
And I always thought Sam's voice was on the edge of being too soft, being to sweet.
The pureness of his music kind of compensated for that for me.

I might think differently in ten years or so, but at this moment, nah. Can't say I like it.
