Thats off topic.

MODS!

I love the new sound, but I was hoping he wouldn't go the Sufjan Stevens route and stay mostly folk.

TheBig3 12-06-2010 08:17 PM

I can't believe more people aren't discussing this EP thingy he's got out because the songs are wildly different and really good.

I did. And then it went off-topic.
Something about trees and branches or so.

Ha, touche sir.

Anyhow, I think Summer in Savannah is one of the funkiest song I've heard in awhile, though its hornless. Which is ****ing nuts. Its equivalent to Prince taking the bass out of When Doves Cry.

FaSho 12-06-2010 09:16 PM

Hokai, it's great and all, but it doesn't even compare to his previous work.

TheBig3 12-06-2010 09:17 PM

Well no, its apples and oranges.

FaSho 12-06-2010 09:21 PM

Hokai, that's not what I meant. I meant it's his worst release. I love it, but it lacks the depth and down-to-earth storytelling sound of his other nearly perfect works.

HOPE I MADE MYSELF CLEAR :afro:

If I weren't going to bed, I'd tell you how wrong you were. We've only heard 3 songs and Walking Far from Home is incredible.

It was o.k. Glad I heard all three songs and it's cool that he is going in new direction but these three songs are songs that I will never listen to again and were mediocre at best.
