and its awesome to listen to his discography because taste wise we will all have our favorites but you get to see his evolution as a song writer. i can't say that i liked the shepherd's do as much as i liked his earlier stuff, but amazing none-the-less.

the Nick Drake comparisons don't bear up really, I could never get into Nick but he was much more rooted in english folk. Based on the Iron & Wine debut I have (which against all odds I like) he's coming much more from the americana side of things. it's got banjo ffs

I agree with Iron and wine being a Calexico fan. Then it happened. In The Riens EP came out and now I'm hooked. The way these two bands phrase lyrics, blend sounds and take the edge off this Album is a must listen.
