One here. They have some excellent albums. Actually many. Disintegration maybe still my favourite. Or Wish. Or Pornography. Or ...

i didn’t care that much for them in the beginning. one day something clicked and now they’re one of my favorite bands ever. my favorite album is pornography because of its dark and cold atmosphere, i just sound like a very edgy teen but its truly a masterpiece. cold is my favorite song because of how haunting it is. great band!

I like music over most genres. But since this is the Indie & Alternative board, I'll list some of those acts: The Parnoid Style (favorite active band), The Fall (all time favorite band), Cannanes, Wire, Joy Division, Big Dipper, Robyn Hitchcock, mekons, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever (fine Australian band), Jonathan Richman, Graham Parker, Johnny Dowd (favorite solo act), Half Japanese, Jad Fair solo and collaborative projects, Television Personalities, Nick Cave (mostly early stuff), America Music Club, Mark Eitzel, and lots of others.

My Blood Valentine is a group that I've heard a song here and there that I've liked but never took a deep dive into their stuff. So much music, so little time. What albums of theirs would you recommend?

wow so many bands i haven’t heard of, though obviously i like joy division and i do like wire. i’m gonna have to check out some bands from this post, do you have any album recommendations?

loveless is a must listen to album by my bloody valentine, i also really recommend isn’t anything even though it’s overlooked by loveless. you should also check out the ep you made me realise. all very experimental stuff.

Thanks for the MBV recommendations.

With the Cannanes, I would recommend theirTrouble Seemed So Far Away album.

The Fall: Dragnet, This Nation's Saving Grace, Perverted By Language are all good.

American Music Club: Hello Amsterdam EP

Television Personalities: Closer To God

You should be able to find most if not all of these on Youtube.

Hey vittra, welcome to MB

My favorite tracks off Pornography would be A Short Term Effect and The Hanging Garden.

Did you know they've also got a track called I'm Cold? A b-side with backing vocals by the one and only Siouxsie Sioux. From their early, more minimalist days. Personally I think it's brilliant.
