Default Any Cure fans here?

What is your favorite Cure: song/album & why?

Mine are:

Disintergration(My favorite of all)- When I was in HS, this came out, and all I did for the entire summer, was compare EVERY SINGLE RECORD to it. It's definitely top 6 on my all time greatest albums list.

Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me
Boys Dont Cry
Japanese Whispers
Three Imaginary Boys

They're pretty good. Head On The Door definatley styicks out as their best album IMO.

Used to love the Cure. Their new album was pretty ****, but Disintegration, Pornography, Boys Don't Cry, and Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me were amazing.

I've never quite managed to get into them myself. I do love a few of their songs though (they're all the painfully obvious hits though)

I have said it before on another thread- when The Cure make a good song it's a top top tune, but every single album they make has filler. They have'nt made a truly consistently great album from start to finish yet Fascination Street, Numb and Disintegration are brilliant tracks.

I sort of agree with that with the exception of Disintegration which IMHO is basically a flawless album with zero filler.

I don't think Faith has any filler on it at all

Disintegration is as close as they have come to it definitely. Have you heard their Acoustic Hits CD? I think it's only available as part of a multi disc set but it's damn good.

EDIT: it has been a while since I have heard Faith to be honest. *put's it on now*

Confession time: That's one of a handful of older Cure albums that I don't own and have never heard.

Personally I'm quite fond of Japanese Whisper. There is not a bad song on that album.
