It is indeed, one of their best 90's songs definitely. It's very different to everything they did before that but the song works so well and you can still tell it's The Cure. The Crow is also one of my all time favourite films and the entire soundtrack is amazing too.

I generally don't go for remixes but this is one of my favourite's.

The production on this blows me away.

I am not adding much to the thread but that sound is still awesome.

^ Mixed Up was the only Cure release I owned during the 90s, there are some great mixes on it. Wait no, I think I got Staring at the Sea: The Singles sometime in the late 90s, or it might have been early 00s. I'm happy to say I'm much more into them now, at least up through 1990 (with a few I haven't heard), but I haven't heard anything beyond that.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

I just started getting into their albums myself. So far I really enjoy Three Imaginary Boys, Seventeen Seconds, Faith & The Head On The Door. I've yet to listen to the rest.

Get Disintegration and Pornography next, you will certainly not be disappointed.

Those are next on my list. :-)

I did manage to listen to The Top yesterday and think it's unjust criticized by most reviews I've read. It has a few odd sounding moments, but I think it's just as solid as the rest of their 80s output.

Wonderful band.

To my credit, I really tried. Unfortunately, I failed to find a Cure song I actually like, one which sounds interesting and can grab me. Oh well

Yeah. They were one of those groups I got heavily into when I was heavily into music in the late 80's early 90's. In fact I've just today realised the group I've seen live the most is The Cure. 3 times. Although I got thrown out of one of the gigs during the 3rd song.
I've just been catching up on the albums I've not heard. The much maligned WMS sounded good on first listen.

Haha what did you do to get thrown out of the gig?
The Cure are one band i really want to see live before i die, they haven't played a gig over here in 6 and 1/2 years and even that gig was a festival slot. I'd really love to see them play an arena gig here sometime soon.
