I like "Faith" most so far from the ones I have listened to.

"Three Imaginary Boys/Boys Don't Cry" is my second fave, I guess

it's pretty poppy

Has anyone here heard Robert Smith's "Very Good Advice"? A couple years old now, but, quite a favorite of mine. It was featured on the "Almost Alice" soundtrack to Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. Also, give a listen to "The Lobster Quadrille" by Franz Ferdinand while you're at it (also on the same soundtrack). Wonderfull songs.

I've never really understood some of the love for Bloodflowers. Even though it's part of the Pornography/Disintegration/Bloodflowers 'trilogy' it's actually quite poor in comparison to the other two.

If we're talking latter-era Cure my favourite has to be their self-titled, even though it's still quite some way off their 80's material. I think 'The End Of The World' is a pretty good song.

I love the Cure.

I can't wait to go watch them at the Leeds Festival this year :D

The Cure are my favorite band. Disintegration is my all-time favorite album. I saw them live on their Reflections tour last November at the Pantages theater and it was amazing. And that is how I met your mother.

So that's how I was conceived :D

I'm seeing them myself in a few months time and it's going to be a long summer waiting. But then again they haven't played here since 2004 so I guess I can wait a little while longer! Disintegration is definitely one of my all-time favourite albums. It's an album I have many memories attached to and will never grow tired of.

that's one of my fave Cure songs

disagree with Bloodflowers, though - i think it has pretty good textures even if the songs themselves aren't that good

Love this version:

The acoustic album is class.

There's plently of dark moments on their other albums though, The Head On The Door ends on a VERY downbeat note with Sinking. And Seventeen Seconds is well worth checking out, it was the start of their dark period.

P.S. Mods, can you change the thread title to something a bit more 'official', cheers :)

Cheers
