White Music and Go 2 are much odder and post-punkish than the rest. D/W and Black Sea are still hard-edged but much more new wave. Beyond that I'm not even sure what to call it.

I just finished listening to Skylarking, and I quite enjoy it. I never thought I would .
It kind of reminds me to the soundtrack to the old Spyro The Dragon games and is quite poppy and fun.

I'm listening to Mummer now. I've got spotify preimum so I've got all those D/W onwards to listen to...It''s gonna be a while, if ever before I get around to the first 2 albums.

Mummer is an airy, low key, albeit very good album. Personal favorites are Great Fire and In Loving Memory of A Name.

XTC is one of the most underapprecited bands of all time. Their songcraft was superb, and I'm hoping for another album one of these days (years).

Andy's ruled it out altogether now. Still they might change their minds.

I hope so. Even a geriatric XTC would be better than 90% of the recycled garbage that's on the charts today.

White Music isn't bad. It's a little inconsistent and all over the place, but that's to be expected in a debut. It's the fun poppy tracks like Science Friction that remind me of Elvis Costello.
