Eugh, whenever my uncle comes down for a family event he always puts on Walk Away, followed by a five minute rhetoric on how 'this is real music, unlike that grunge crap you listen to' (seriously, the guy thinks i listen to Nirvana and Nirvana only). Cast are one of those bands that, fortunately for them, got swept up in the success of bigger and better contempories. The Bluetones are another band that springs to mind who enjoyed similiar, undeserved success.
