Id love to see Bloc Party playimg Mardi Gras actually.... "OI! KELE! 3 BEADS FOR A FLASH OF YOUR TITS!"...

Not nearly as good as Pete Doherty at the *** Pride march though...

lol "the indie bar kid" who cares if they are canadian? i dont dislike a band because of their nationality. And i presume you havnt seen them in concert? And i perdonally would rather them stay at their current populatrity then sore to a band like the white strips or someother indie band that has moved into a more pop culture icon

I like Metric, very good band.

As far as DFA goes, I wouldn't mind going to pay to see them, but they don't really play the kind of style I can listen to for longer than 30 minutes.

They are quite awesomely crazy, with the crazy-awesome bassist, and the drummer that sings. And they also just have awesome music. Listen to them unless you have an irrational fear of good music.

the album is actually quite diverse though. its not all the same run of the mill amped up fuzz-fest singles like romantic rights and blood on our hands portray. its got some more melodic, softer moments too. such as black history month. great song.
