Modest Mouse is golden. The first thing I ever heard from them was WWDBTSES but I've got to say the farther back you go the more you've got to love this band. Long Drive is probably my favourite album from them.

I only have "We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank", which I know is coming to the party a tad late, but I love it.
Float on would be my favorite song of theirs, next to Fire It Up.

Cool. Those are two awesome songs. If you like those ones, I would recommend even just downloading some of their older stuff and giving it a listen. I think you'll notice a difference between WWD and anything before it.

I would recommend these songs as first steps:

Ocean Breathes Salty, Gravity Rides Everything, Dramamine, Tiny Cities Made Of Ashes

MM are victims of their own success I think. Their first three albums; This is a Long Drive..., The Lonesome Crowded West and Moon & Antarctica are absolutely superb. They just havent been able to release anything that matches up to those three since. Granted, the likes of WWDBTSS and Good news... still piss on the majority of albums being churned out over the last few years, but there is an indication of a gradual decline, which is a shame because I do think they're a great band - and they're incredible live.

The Moon & Antarctica is probably my favorite album by MM, but I still really like Good News For People Who Love Bad News. A lot of people seem to dislike that album, particularly those who are fans of the band's earlier work, but I really dig it.
