Hello, looking for some recs for the baroque pop revival of the last couple years. Particularly, I'm looking for some reverb drenched indie, folk, whatever you want to call it but something similar to Lana Del Rey or Fleet Foxes. I'm pretty sure I've heard the big names of the sound, but I'm looking for some "deeper cuts" so to speak. Thanks!

Pylon
Mission of Burma

To name a few.. I would also recommend early R.E.M. in case you haven't checked that out. Their first album Murmur (1983) is awesome and would fit in the context quite nicely.

First things that come to mind might be...

Grizzly Bear
Iron & Wine
Sigur Ros
The Shins

(just links to youtube videos to prevent screwing the thread)

Not sure if I've hit the right type of music you're looking for but these are similar bands in a way.

I also recommend Owen Pallet, Beirut, Elliot Smith, Patrick Wolf if you're looking for Baroque Pop (not sure if these are deeper cuts :/)

I seriously suggest you guys check these guys out on Facebook, 'Out Side Room', they've only been together a year and have already played at some of the UKs best venues. I saw them at the O2 academy in islington and was amazed. Such a fresh and upbeat sound, i wish them all the success they deserve.

I've recently been getting into some Indie/Alternative bands

The majority of my music up to now has been 90's hip-hop, 60's psychedelic rock, and 70's progressive rock: last.fm

So far I've been listened to The Clash and Pixies and absolutely loved them.
I'm currently listening to Sonic Youth, and a bit of The Smiths.

I've got Talking Heads, Joy Division, The Verve and Radiohead's discographies downloaded to listen to, and I'm just wondering if anyone could give me some recommendations? At the moment I'm just using RYM as a guide, but if anyone could suggest some albums that'd be pretty sweet.
