I was debating on whether or not put this in the electronica rec thread, but I felt this is more indie than anything else. Regardless of what it is, I like it and maybe you folks will too.

Check out Dirty Pretty Things, I haven't listened too much to it but it's the band that Barat created/joined after the Libertines split up. Also, of course Pete Doherty's solo stuff.

Default Looking for some new stuff

So, here's a sample of what I've been listening to lately (in some sort of order):

Bear vs Shark - all
Juno - The great salt lake
Hot Snakes - all
Drive Like Jehu - all
Against Me! - early stuff
Bluetip - Dischord 101
Hoover - Lurid Traversals of route 7
Les Savy Fav - all
Naked Raygun - Jettison
Pegboy - all
Quicksand - manic compression
Sunny Day Real Estate - Diary
Kukim - all

Although I'm really into all of this I need something new. Just found Bob Tilton looking around this forum and I'm glad about that. Any other recommendations?

Thanks!

Has Wolf Parade been mentioned yet? They're awesome. Songs of choice would be I'll Believe In Anything, Pobody is Nerfect and Soldier's Grin (one off each of their albums, there's plenty more where those came from..)

Also Handsome Furs are pretty sweet, it's one of the guys from Wolf Parade and his wife doing a rock/electronic thang. Good songs of theirs include Talking Hotel Arbat Blues, Sing! Captain and Nyet Spasiba. Most of their songs are really good though..

Firstly, check out Crash of Rhinos, they're an emo band who released one hell of a debut this year, they fit the 'new' criteria quite literally.

Also, judging from your list, Squirrel Bait, Bastro, Lungfish, Dag Nasty, Texas is the Reason, Mock Orange, American Football, Mineral, Braid, Jawbox, Shudder to Think, Rites of Spring, Beefeater, Indian Summer, Faraquet, Don Caballero, Saccharine Trust and The Effigies are bands off the top of my head that you may appreciate.
