Are they popular/getting recognition?

I saw Best Coast this past summer, they were pretty awesome.

The Head and the Heart are from the pacific northwest and have the folk thing going on. "Ghosts" is the only song I really like, and that's due to the piano. Other than that, my knowledge of them is nil. But I have heard of them, so that's something.

I love pretty much every indie/pop band that comes out of the UK

Check out these guys, they are from the same area as The Head and The Heart, and I am really into them. I've seen them live twice; if you ever have the chance, go see them.
