let me recommend you John Frusciante, I guess my all time favourite. There's much to find on his albums. Some electronica for example:

and another, don't miss the part after 4:09:

Then you got acoustic - The Past Recedes (with great solo around 2:20). Or similar staff from movie soundtrack - Falling from The Brown Bunny with amazing acoustic solo. Take your time before you get to the gore sruff (Life's a Bath etc.)

hey i listen more to singles than albums with that ebing said my top indie music would be more towards the late/ early 00's.
for instance:
maps-yeah yeah yeahs
obstacle 1- interpol
when the sun goes down- artic monkeys
fell in love with a girl- the white stripes
daydream - beach fossils (for the new synth wave sub genre of indie music)
casio- jungle

im down to discover new music just not too happy about searching thru albums for hidden gems. give me your song list/playlist to go thru!

WizardNigga Pleez I don't know if you're rec worthy. I don't know you from Adam. So I'm not going to rec you my good stuff straight off the bat.

Here take this and like it.
Prefab Sprout - Jordan: The Comeback
Don't listen to the lyrics. If you become a Scientologist after hearing this album it's not my fault cause I gave you fair warning not to listen to the lyrics.

As always it's greatly appreciated when I get positive feedback, when someone enjoys an artist I like. I posted Moenie and Kitchi as a Music Banter Classic, but that project died a slow death, but pretty quickly. Never got around to that album. Plans of mice and men.

I thought you would be into it since "Hawk" is in the name. Now only if I can get The Batlord into "Batcave" my mission would be complete.

Don' know if it was already recommended here so I'd like to pitch The Days of Our Nights, by Luna. I suggest to start by the third track, "The Old Fashioned Way."

One of the first, let's say, "not major" alternative stuff I got in touch to.
The comic book series Y: The Last Man has a funny quick joke relating to The Eels.

Cool, I've never heard of those comics. Do you recommend them?
