Default Scars from Scotland

I haven't been checking out much new music lately but I have most fortunately come across Scars who are responsible for yet more Scottish post-punk goodness. They only ever released one album (Author! Author! in 1981) which made a few waves in its time but has long since been lost. It's a shame they were never as big as some of their contemporaries because I think this album is quite deserving. Here are a couple of clips:

Some dark and brooding, doom and gloom stuff, not so different to the Chameleons and the Cure... the ending of this track is glorious.

And this is my fav track... simply FANTASTIC! The lyrics are actually from this, written by Australian poet, Peter Porter, who died this year.

Surely someone's interested? Stop discussing Animal Collective and Radiohead
