Anyone get the christmas present this year? Not sure if it's still up on the bands website, but they were offering a free pro-shot of Dead Star live at V-Fest. Great performance.

No, but im downloading it now. Thanks for the heads up! For those who may go and look for it, I'm sure you can work it out as its fairly obvious but its the little Christmas present icon that keeps flashing up on screen that you have to click on to download the zip.

I have been stuck on Muse lately I have all but Showbiz which I will get soon my favorite songs are Plug in Baby, Hysteria, and Assasin. I have been watching a lot of HAARP lately too... I hope to see them live some day Matt Bellamy is becoming one of my favorite guitarists.

Time for a revival. Surely some other people can help me keep this thread alive, eh? Now for some of my random Muse stuff. My favorite song by them is Hate This & I'll Love You off Showbiz. Here's my order from best to worst (though they're all so great!) albums with my fav tracks highlighted.

1. Origin of Symmetry: New Born, Hyper Music, Plug In Baby, Citizen Erased (Fav)
2. Absolution: Time Is Running Out, Stockholm Syndrome, Falling Away With You (Fav), Hysteria
3. Showbiz: Falling Down, Showbiz, Hate This & I'll Love You (FAV!)
4. Black Holes and Revelations: Starlight, Map of the Problematique (fav), Invincible, City of Delusion

I recommend any and all Muse fans get their whole discography and imitate this post... And Matt Bellamy is one of the few men I can admit is sexy, in my own opinion :shycouch:

I've only heard that song on the Twilight soundtrack, but I'm gonna say I actually really enjoyed it. I'll check em out

IMO that's one of their worst songs (still great) but definitely their most poppy, if that's what you're into.

Muse got old with me in about a week. I played them until I could take it no longer. That was in January though, time to revisit.

I feel that most of the time the vocals mess up the song for me, they sound too overly cheesy pop. =\

i've only seen Muse once, back in 2004 at the Fox Theatre in Boulder, Colorado (about 700 capacity, great venue). it was one of the best gigs i've ever been to. ever. they put on a perfect show.

i also have a few of their live albums, official and unofficial. they are also fantastic.

Haarp - Wembley Stadium
Live - Earl's Court
Live - Shepherd's Bush Empire

is there any other live stuff out there that i should grab? i'm pretty picky about quality, i really don't like listening to fan recordings that i have to turn up to 8 to hear what's going on...

I can't really think of any full sets worth getting, some of the live performances on Youtube of New Born and Showbiz are the shit though, you could rip some of those.
