I personally don't think The Resistance album is as bad as most people claim it to be. Of course I prefer the older albums, but since I really listen and enjoy nearly all genres of music it made me rather proud that they tried something new. I don't really like the fact though, that they've become so mainstream through Twilight :/ I'm rather fond of Exogenesis since Matt's falsetto's come rather well into them, or actually just in The Overture, but they're all the type that you can just sit back to and relax and let your imagination wander :) I don't like Guiding Light or I belong to you so much though, but Undisclosed Desires is a very brave and good move by them.

Just thought I'd add here, for some stupid reason, that I have 5 albums (Showbiz, Origin Of Symmetry, Absolution, Blackholes and Revelations and The Resistance), plus I saw them in the summer at Kaisanniemi Park from the front row (Right in front of Chris) :D

But these are my opinions on The Resistance ^^

I don't think it's that bad. In fact I think it's some of their best work. I really like the new direction they are going in. I absolutely loved Exogenesis, my favorite was Cross Pollination. I also loved their new song "Neutron Star Collision (Love is Forever)" also, even though to me it sounded a lot like "Invincible" >.>.

Ah yes I agree Neutron Star Collision is a good song, it's only annoying that it's always associated with Twilight :// From Exogenesis I personally love The Overture since I remember from their gig they sang it first and it really just made me go all goosebumps xD I heard, by the by, that they put Sing For Absolution into Twilight's new movie o____O It's not true, is it??

Yeah, Stephani Meyer's obsession with Muse is kind of annoying. But I'm kind of appreciative because it's getting Muse to write songs xD

I don't know of Sing For Absolution is going to be on the new Twilight... it would make me rather sad because that means they're not writing a new song. :( I'll check it out though.

I personally wouldn't want Sing For Absolution into it, because it is one of Muse's most beautiful love songs and it shouldn't be waster in to something like Twilight (I'm not a massive Twilight fan you see :/)

Well I know you're not a Twilight Fan. Cause Twilight Fans have only heard of "Supermassive Black Hole" and Muse is their favorite band in the world. But when it comes to music for the new movie I'd like to hear something fresh. Not something rehashed from their 3rd album. Not that Sing For Absolution isn't an amazing song. It's just... I've heard it before. Haha.

I couldn't even finish The Resistance. Too much overdramatic pompous falsetto wankery (like above and beyond what all their others albums have), and too little actual interesting music. Bellamy's voice is not why I listen to Muse...

I liked it, although I liked some songs more than others. For me, "United States of Eurasia" and "Unnatural Selection" are easily up there with their classics, and "Uprising" is awesome. I also loved "Resistance".

It's possibly my least favourite of their studio albums, but I don't think they've ever put out an album that I didn't think was excellent.

Haha, well said about the Twilight fans xD I've actually heard a situation from my friend that at their music class (they had a bunch of Twilight fans there) they were allowed to choose a song and they would then judge it. So all the Twilight fans were like "OMGOMG WE SO WANT LIEK MUSE!!" (yes, they were the worst kind -___-), so my friend asked what song and they said (obviously) Supermassive Blackhole. He then said "I hear that song too much, tell me another song by them" and suddenly the whole room went silent...:laughing: I really wish I was there to witness it.

Haha, true..I can't wait to hear some new songs from them :)

The Resistance kind of ruined Muse for me. I hardly listen to them anymore.
