Jeremy Dubs is one of Black Francis' pals Pixies release new, Kim Deal-less song ‘Bagboy’. Rumour has it he over-dubbed all Kim's parts when she announced she was leaving.

Not too keen on the new song either. A parody of the Pixies.

Can't listen to it again right now but it sure sounded like a woman...the over-dub wouldn't surprise me though. Bagboy wasn't anything special but if they do churn anything else out I'll give it a listen.

From their website:

Armed with "Bagboy," the band's first new song in nine years, the Pixies will launch the first leg of what will be a massive global tour on Sunday, September 29 in Paris, France. This will kick off the first tour the Pixies have done in nearly two years, and will give them an opportunity to do something they haven't been able to do in two decades : premiere brand new Pixies songs, the first collection of new material since 1991's Trompe le Monde.

PIXIES ANNOUNCE FIRST LEG OF WORLD TOUR

I'm fairly certain there will be a new Pixies album. But I hope they have better material than 'Bagboy' up their sleeves. If the new album is a pale shadow of their original output I will find it impossible to see their ongoing reunion as nothing other than a cash-in job.

Who cares if its bad or good. The fact that its a new Pixies album is the biggest event in music in..................................a long time.

Yes it will be a very big event, but if it's a bad album it's not exactly going to be worth it.

Love the Pixies. Not listened to their new song yet, need to give it a listen. Hopefully a new album's in the works?

My favourite song of theirs would probably be Mr Grieves.

Picking a favourite is difficult. I pretty much like 99% of songs from their 5 albums. Thats just a ridiculous discography.

I saw this band at music midtown in Atlanta when I was 14 and they were great. I'm 22 now. Does anybody know some other notable Pixies shows that can be considered great in their live catalog?
