I think they haven't made a "bad" album yet. Not heard their latest but the single is pretty good.

They where overrated at the beginning but they keep writing beautiful songs after some years... So i think they deserve our attention

I think people go overboard because their first album was so fresh and exciting and they expected to be slapped in the face with some unique tracks all over again but there's always an evolution with any band.

They're older now a little more cultured and some of that raw youth has now grown as it always does and people want to feel the original energy back and get way too critical.

AM is an amazing album. I feel they have taken the darker sonics from the Humbug album, the more melodious singing from Suck It And See, combined it with the storytelling nature of Whatever The People Say I Am... and made their best album. I think all their work stands the test of time. I saw them live at Earls Court and it is interesting to note how the slower songs sound more reflective of them at their current time. I mean yes, the crowd went mental for "I Bet You Look Good...", but that song almost sounds like it's from a different band. It is well worth the hype that has been lavished upon it in my opinion!
