Definitely Maybe & What's the Story Morning Gory = better than anything Zep or Floyd ever did

And what?

Maybe Floyd, but Zeppelin? I am going to have to disagree on that statement.

I dig me some Zeppelin tunes, but they were way too self-indulgent with their boring folk experiments, and it made their albums pretty hit-or-miss.

Ouch Batsy! Pink Floyd & Zeppelin albums are normally regarded as the pinnacle of rock.

Money, Another brick in the wall part 2, Stairway to Heaven, there is nothing by Oasis that can remotely touch these songs.

Don't get me wrong I love Oasis, and I love to play their songs on the guitar because there quick and easy to learn, but Noel Gallagher is no Jimmy Page or David Gilmour.

Perhaps this is a generational thing with you being younger, but you better hope Unknown Soldier or Trollheart don't see this post, or those geezers may give you a scolding of a lifetime!

I agree on the superiority of Zeppelin and Floyd to Oashit, but damn you did a good job on picking the band's most overhyped songs. At least you didn't pick anything from Division Bell.

All of these songs are boring to me. The only song by Floyd that I actually like, as opposed to merely tolerate, is "Comfortably Numb", and while I love me some Zeppelin, I do not love me some "Stairway to Heaven". And even back before I'd heard it 50 million times I didn't know why people loved it so much.

Yeah I am taking back the "maybe" part of my comment earlier. Oasis definitely gets up there but is not going to be touching Floyd or Zepplin. I accept that mistake I made. May our lord and savior Robert Plant forgive me.

Well they are routinely played on classic rock stations across North America for a reason, as they are the "hits" so to speak.

Division Bell, is that a new Floyd album??? I was even aware of its existence.

Well if you don't like Floyd, you don't like Floyd I guess, I never could stomach the Doors myself. As for Stairway to Heaven, the guitar solo is generally considered one of the best of all time. and...

I usually find that baby boomers view it as the Uno numero song of their generation.

Baby boomers are child molesters and a guitar solo does not make a ****ty song into a classic.
