Should I bother with Oasis

I just listened to their debut album and I'm not a fan of the dense and confused sound they included on there; in fact if I were a part of "The Britpop Wars" I would of voted for Blur.

However they did do Wonderwall and they mellowed out the sound in the second album so the ultimate question is this, should I bother with Oasis?

I don't know. Should you?

There are too many great artists to be bothering with crap like Oasis.

Oh, come on! I'm sure you know better than that.

Oasis is not my cuppa, but if I were gonna check them out, I would definitely go for What's The Story (Morning Glory). It's the album which made them huge, so if you're studying brit-pop, that should be one of the first albums on the curriculum.

Just listen to the first 2 album and the B sides compilation they put out around the time those 2 came out.
And their appearance at Glastonbury 1995 if you want to be completest.

To me, it seems just a bit too simple to dismiss one of the most famous and successful bands of the 90s as "crap". It's an opinion, certainly, but not a particularly weighty one.

Pretty much.

I'm a huge fan personally, so I would advise it. I don't think they are boring at all. Depends if you enjoy simplistic but fun rock and roll or not.

Dammit!

Make sure you remember where you're at while Oasis is getting high, cuz he's gonna ask you like... 50-something times.
