Also, if you're into music that will make your mind explode. I reccommend Dream Theater.. especially if you like Porcupine Tree.. I personally favour DT, but PT is aiight!

TV On The Radio
The Flaming Lips
Radiohead I do love the song 15 Step.
Phish
My Morning Jacket
Mastodon
Green Day
Elvis Costello (He's still making music)
The White Stripes
The Dead Weather
Dave Matthews Band
M.I.A LOVE. HER.
Fleet Foxes
Cat Power
Porcupine Tree
Pearl Jam
Arctic Monkeys

and a lot more
I think I should just start all over again with this forum cuz I was thinking about it for like 3 hours last night, I am so full of **** xD Beyonce is one of my all-time favourite singers, and riiiight I'll just turn this into a big all-out confession; I'm such a sucker for hip-hop and rn'b. It's a little embarassing. Cuz like, I am the most un-gangstaa-ish person ever. I went through a faze of wearing only trackies and high-tops and hoodies after I saw Step Up 2 The Streets, and took weekly street-dancing classes, but like I said, my main passion is rock and classic rock, but I do love pretty much everything except the dreaded emo music.
*waits for hate*

Recommending stuff is of course fine, but what's with the judgmental attitude? I don't think anyone who has just joined the community is going to look at you as an authority on what they should or should not listen to. Neither do I think they should. It would be a boring community if everyone listened to the same and the first thing that happens to newcomers shouldn't be attempts at forced conformity by posters like yourself.

If you're sure it really doesn't matter, then maybe you should practice what you believe and consider easing up on the negative feedback.

Anyways, hi SaphiaGlam and welcome to musicbanter

Although you like popular bands, htye don't get that much exposure here - at least I know there are no Queen, Velvet Revolver or Motley Crue reviews out of the currently 704 reviews in the index. Instead of telling you that you should like something else, I'd rather encourage you to keep at it and perhaps write about/review some of the bands you like. Although I'm not a big fan myself, it's a bit ridiculous to not have a Queen review on a music site with as many reviews and interest in music from those times as we have. Also, I'd love to see a hair metal journal or something similar sometime in the future even if I don't have that much appreciation for it myself!

Yep, also quite weird .. Someone needs to review some GnR!

I personally like them although it has a lot to do with teenage nostalgia. Welcome to the Jungle is a kickass song, I think. If I'm sufficiently drunk, then I can still appreciate songs like November Rain (awesome guitar btw) and Paradise City I'll have to check out chinese democracy one of these days.

I tend to like some GnR for the same reasons really. I can't actually remember the last time i listened to them now, excluding Chinese Democracy which i listened to a few times when it was released. I really don't like it at all but it's worth a listen to form your own opinion.
