I've never really liked the Cure either. Couldn't say why, as I don't hate their music, they're just one of those bands I can't ever see myself getting into.

2nd wave ska-hate aside, you seem pretty cool Welcome to the boards.

WHat kind of 80's hardcore are you into? Although you said you didn't like ska () do you like any ska-punk?

Mostly old Black Flag. Well all of it is old but I favor Morris over Rollins.
And the only ska punk I can stand is Op Ivy

Same here! Morris is much better than rollins and I'm big on the Circle Jerks and am also big on Op Ivy.

I have a Circle Jerks album on Vinyl that I've been meaning to listen to. They're pretty intense.

If you wann ahere intense 80's punk listen to Battalion of Saints.
If you want to get into 80's punk, try to get a hold of American Hardcore, that's how I started.
