aw man. i feel for ya! it's taken my dad a very long time to convert to a digital medium, and i'm familiar with your frustrations.

it sounds like you've figured out how to get the data (songs) from your CD's onto your hard drive (C drive). that's good.

now it comes down to what kind of mp3 player you use. if you tell us that it would help. some of them require software to enable you to load your music onto them. some of them you can treat as another drive or file folder and just drop files into it. if the latter is the case, you're easy. either way though, you're likely going to need a piece of software that will convert the files you get from your CDs (cda files) into MP3 files. a quick google search will yield free results.

so yeah. what kind of mp3 player do you have?
