Default Awkward Introduction Type Thing

Long time lurker, first time poster here!

I've been following a few threads for awhile now, and figured it was about time I join in on the banter (pun?).

Some of my favourite bands/artists off the top of my head:

Radiohead, Wilco, The Strokes, Mastodon, Elliott Smith, Run The Jewels, Death Grips, Arcade Fire, Dillinger Escape Plan, and System of a Down.

However, if you were to ask me tomorrow I'd probably provide a completely different list. Nonetheless, I look forward to discovering and discussing some great music with all of you!

Does it ever kind of weird people out that there are people out there that lurk on this site? Like, there might be a whole group of people I am entirely unfamiliar with who have informed opinions about me and know aspects of my life. Sort of like a celebrity. I love lurkers.

Your Metal Album Survivor thread introduced me to When the Kite Strings Pop, that alone makes you worthy of your celebrity-like status.

I know, right? If you ever want to get freaked out by how many strangers know you, just check out how many referrals people have given you in the "Statistics" tab of your profile.

I lurk on quite a few other forums so, no, it doesn't weird me out.

Apparently I have one. How do you even get a referral?

As far as I know I have done no such thing.
