the funny thing is i used to steal like crazy when i was younger, and back then nobody ever suspected me cause i would be doing my best to act and look inconspicuous. i wouldn't even say i was desperate just really amoral and honestly did it just because i could and i got kind of a kick out of it. i haven't done it in years cause i guess i've grown up a bit since then. to me that is not something an adult should be doing unless they really are that desperate, if for no other reason than that it's not worth the legal hazards for something so petty.

but yea now i seem to be a suspect. i think for me the biggest reason is probably because this is the south and a small town and they can probably instantly tell i'm not from around here, coupled with the fact that i'm young and usually by myself, plus i walk fast as hell and i know stores like the back of my hand now so i cut through sections and go straight to whatever it is that i'm trying to grab. probably just throws them off their guard cause they're used to seeing slow fat southern people waddle around like a bunch of lost penguins while leaning on their over sized shopping carts.

Tbh I've only lifted from stuff from places I was a regular at. In 8th grade, I would just pass through the line as if I already went through with all my **** and they wouldn't notice. Now I just enter the [local store name here] with a [local store name here] bag and as I walk past the food section, I toss a bottle of vodka or wine into the bag. Then I buy something from the store I'm at and put my bag down at my feet when I pay for my ****. Works every time.

The only thing drinking laws succeed in doing is a) Making me more likely to be friends with people >21 years old, 2) easier for me to do other drugs, 3) use my critical thinking to steal booze without getting busted.

i used to steal **** from any random store i felt like stealing from. there are a million and one tactics for doing so, i won't get into the specifics but the security in these places is often more posturing than anything else.

I play jazz on my dad's guitars so they have a taste of variety in their life. I would never play your guitars unless you said it was okay, Plankton.

I do have issues with other people playing my shit. I once let someone from another band use my PRS at an open jam. I stood there about 4 feet away the whole time, staring intensely and judging. Never again. It's too nerve racking.

I have an old beat up Uke for people who need something to noodle on.

I always figured it was kinda common courtesy not to even ask if you can use other people's music gear unless its a private setting and you're nerding together pretty hard.

Alcohol. Didn't happen to me often at all in clubs but occasionally did at private house parties.
