Thumbs up

Hello! I'm new here I just discovered Slackerdotcom last month and got the G2 Portable Radio. I was checking out stations a few days ago and discovered the Modern Blues station! There are MANY NEW or current Blues artists of which I had no idea.

Check out Slackerdotcom to hear Modern Blues or the other blues stations for free. I think it's a great find. If you had or have Satellite Radio, then I think you dig Slacker's stations.

This is a great Forum btw!

Forgot to to say Jonny Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and Jeff Healy (R.I.P.) are incredible current/modern Blues artists. Amazing stuff!
Susan Tedeschi rocks too as does Lucinda Williams. I am new to the Black Keys but I like what I have heard from them.

Although not a blues band specifically. Check out the latest album from Jack White's other band, The Reconteurs also for some good blues or some of the White stripes bluesy songs.

Glad that was censored. Protect our eyes from offensive last names and whatnot.

Can I be so bold as to bump this post. I have just read that C. W. Stoneking is playing with Seasick Steve at London's Barbican. Link here.

Is anyone going and if so can you post a revue just to make me insanely jealous?

Some, others have already mentioned. Some aren't new either, but all are still releasing albums (I think):

Joe Bonamassa
Susan Tedeschi
Jonny Lang
John Lee Hooker Jr
Gina Sicilia
Ana Popovic
Bonnie Raitt
Lonnie Mack
Stevie Ray Vaughan
Irma Thomas (more soul than blues, but plenty of blues influence)
