Current Blues Artists?
 

I'm looking into getting into current blues, rather than old school.

Anyone have any suggestions on who to listen to?

Hamilton Loomis is O.K, if a little formulaic.

Someone once recommended Watermelon Slim, and Carlos del Junco.

Have you heard of them?
I checked them out, they are pretty decent, and perhaps the reason why I want to check out more current blues artists.

I have heard Carlo Del Junco but was'nt overly impressed. how about Seasick Steve?

I will check him out.

I also came across the Homemade Jamz Blues Band, and my heart was a flutter!

They are so young, so I immediately thought it wouldn't be super bluesy, but MAN, WAY impressed.

That kid can sing!

Haha, well I suppose the OP may be gone by now but I'll recommend Back Door Slam to anybody who wants to listen.

Michael Powers and Magic Slim are also very good current blues artists.
