Great record. His classical stuff has the most replay value for me, with Madness, Love, and Mysticism being my favourite. Spy vs. Spy for the jazzier stuff, but I've not even scratched the air around the tip of the iceberg of his discography.

He really is a contemporary master of all trades. Painkiller, Naked City, and his solo material is all great.

Reading a book from a philosopher on the nature and act of human "worship." Ayler felt appropriate.

This **** is really boring. If you like ambient semi-spirtual jazz you may like it but god damn is it monotonous.

^ I thought the same thing. It feels like a cheap copy of bands and artists that did the same ideas so, so much better.
