depends which kind of jazz...i prefer the stuff with the trumpets

although i saw santana(guitarist) play a jazz song and i had a party in my pants

The bass, it is both dominant and melodic... but really the guitar, Stevie Ray for example, can make his cry, and scream the blues...

I think the best instruments would have to be the Harmonica, guitar and the saxophone. The piano is nice, but doesn't always fit into a blues song. Just my thoughts

Definitely the harmonica is the best instrument for the blues! (haha...I play the sax but it just doesn't compete with the harmonica in the blues genre).
