Default Haven't logged in since 2007

Like the title states, it's been 18 years since I was last here . Every year since I've first signed up I've received Happy Birthday emails from MB.

Today's my bday and they sent the email last night, and I was curious enough to click on it, reset my password, and log in.

I know this post doesn't mean anything to anyone else but I thought I'd get on here and say hey! I first joined the forum right after turning 17 years old, I still had both my parents, I was a junior in high school, and still had all the time in the world to listen to all the music I wanted to. I'm still into old rap from the 80's/90's like my profile states, but now I listen to lofi and binaural beats on youtube while I plug away at my day job. I'm 35 today, I did 7 years in the military and I'm now a software engineer. Logging in here is like hopping into a time machine. I had on dm from 2010 offering me "sweet ringtones" lmaoo.

I've been married for 12 years now, had a few dogs, no kids, lost both parents in the last few years and am now wandering mostly intentionally but sometimes aimlessly. If you're young still, hug your folks, cherish the time. The time you have to do things you want, the time without real responsibilities, the time to live. As you get older time becomes the greatest currency, and while life is mostly good, sometimes you just wanna go back to the day you ran to f.y.e. to buy Kanyes Graduation album and had a listening party with your bro.

Life is overall beautiful, although it's twists/turns drops and rises sometimes make you forget that. Pour into yourself often, as at the end of the day you are all you have and remember that none but ourselves can free our mind.

Thanks to Music Banter for giving my own little piece of personal history and reminding me of a small bit of myself that I lost.

I wish all of you good health.
