We had forum awards on another forum I posted on. We found the best way to do it was to pick a mod to count the votes and everyone emailed them to that mod who then counted them and announced them on Christmas eve; with so many members it might be an idea to vote once to find the main nominees and then a second time from the nominations to find the winner.

You know, I support the idea of having forum awards but I do think they'd have more effect if every second thread in the lounge wasn't of the ass-kissing variety. There's been plenty of popularity contests and I just read one that involved picking the most respected members. Makes it more special if we only do that on occasion, dontcha think?
