Default Overratted? Underrated?

We have a million and a half of each of those threads. I was wondering today, are there bands you people think get the attention they deserve?

White Stripes

Good enough to get attention but never enough to be considered forced onto you

Les Paul, you're supposed to say what band is getting the right amount of attention.

In Flames. They're at the peak of the underground and not quite mainstream. Right where they should be.

Do you think thats the case because this latest album was considered a pull back away from superstardom (an intentional one). If they came out with something as well reviewed as Elephant, I think people would be shoving them down throats.

I like how this thread is going so far.

Hmm difficult to say really , as far as I can see the stuff from the last album got just as much attention as Elephant did in the media.

Of course it could be that because I like the band so i`m less aware of overexposure , however having said that I was a fan of Oasis since their first single came out & after all the hype I was sick to death of hearing about them.

Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Great band and I'm thankful they aren't under the controversial limelight that they would then share with Nirvana.
