Who kindamaybesorta agrees with me that when someone says they're addicted to like, chips or cola or chocolate or something like that, that we're kinda mocking real addiction here?

Cola isn't mocking because it's both chemically addictive (due to caffeine and whatever else) and potentially mentally addictive. Half the world relies on their caffeine hit from their bidaily coffees/cokes/energy drinks and if that were to be taken away, those people would become zombies.

So it's hardly as serious as a heroin addiction on the individual level and not too troublesome to kick (up to a week of withdrawal symptoms like fatigue, dizziness and headaches, 2 weeks to get it out of your system). But it's sinister in the sense that it's so widespread and nobody takes it seriously.

Haha yes.

Though people are quite insistent on getting their caffeine fix. As an enterprising youngster, I used to deal cans of coke and lollies at school. You could always tell which customers were addicted to coke because they would profusely beg for IOUs.

I put Music because I truly am addicted to anything I can find, but I also have addictions to movies and books. Media in that area mostly.

Another....History, I sometimes read textbooks on it for fun.
