The first time you drink do it with close friends, in a comfortable enviroment. I reccomend beer. It's not supposed to be super soothing, it's supposed to be a kick in the pants. And it will be. You'll hate it the first 5 or so times you have it, but then you'll aquire a taste for it.

Best lite beers:
Miller Lite
Keystone Lite
Bud Lite
Natural Lite
Corona Lite

Best Darker Beers:
Guiness
Yeungling (definitly spelled that off)
any Sam Adams (summer brew ftw)

and I hate liquor. So don't ask me about it.

Hehe, I'm the complete opposite. I'll drink anything but beer or wine.
Good advice, too. Take it easy, work your way up.

haha, take it from my buddy's birthday last night. DON'T drink a mickey of jager, and a ****load of beer in one night. and whatever you do, DO NOT chug a pint of beer with 4 shots of absinthe mixed into it. you'll end up pouring a beer over your head, then smashing the ceramic gravy boat you were drinking from over your head and walking barefooted through shards of broken glass cause you wore flip-flops out that night and somehow lost your shoes in your drunkenness.

god i love my friends

Well. . . I don't know too much about alcoholic bevrages to get our start on but I do know about alcoholic concoctions

I've only had to make this aprticular drink a few times, sicne it isn't too popular (and it's no wonder) but it's fairly good if not a little under rated.

It's called a Brooklyn Zoo
The ingredients are:
1 oz rum
1 oz vodka
1 oz gin
1 splash pineapple juice
1 splash DeKuyper Razzmatazz liqueur
1 splash sweet and sour mix
1 (or 2) oz beer (of your choice)

Pour some ice into a glass. Toss in the rum and vodka and stir. Then throw in about a cap of pineapple juice (no particular brand), the DeKuyper liquer, and the sweet and sour mix.
I highly recommend it since you're just beginning to drink. Although I don't recommend you drink more than 4 of these in the same hour.

Have fun and don't get too drunk

Notable strong after-taste liquors:
Jagermeifter
Captain Morgan's (argh)
Wild Turkey

Good liquors with not as much after-taste:
Jamaican Rum
Absolut
Hypnotiq
Grey-goose

Beers (my drink):
Corona
Budweiser
Bud Light
Smirnoff Black Cherry
Miller

I suggest never having Miller Lite or Five-O'clock vodka (IMO).

I don't know much about ****tails and whatnot.
This is from personal preferences and experience.

Guinness. Wins every time. Alcopops are like eating sweeties. You only drink them because your body likes the sugar, but they're pretty crap when you bother to actually taste them. Steer clear of Carlsberg Import and Blackthorn - cheap as chips but you get what you pay for, and it's usually vomitsville. See if you can get hold of speciality beers, such as mango beers. There's a pub/restaurant near me that does it and "fucking lush" is about all I can say. Vodka is good too, because you can mix it with juice so that you can't taste it and still get drunk. Then as the night goes on you'll notice that you start pouring progressively larger portions of vodka into the glass. It's like your drunken brain building yourself up to straight vodka. Eventually you'll be so drunk you can't taste it, so it doesn't really matter. But if you buy a large bottle, keep a bucket to hand cus if you drink it all on your first drunkening you'll almost certainly puke :P Malibu and coke is the only way I can drink any type of rum. Snickers, smirnoff do a BEER? Branching out nowadays ...

Did Right-Track honestly advise people to drink white shite? I hope he's not gonna start wearing burberry :O

Hehe...nah, not in all seriousness. The stuffs capable of sending a man blind.

Guinness is my fav drink. At first you'll probably hate the taste, but once you accustom yourself to it you'll find it's the only real pint worth bothering with.
That and Murphy's stout.
