Well it really annoys me when people assume I don't eat meat to save animals.

Genesis 1 verses 20-31,the whole god creating animals/man thing. The only reference she makes to food is "I give you every seed-bearnig plant on the face of the whole and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food" and "I give every green plant for food".

According to Genesis the foxes also got on fine with the chickens, and sheep weren't at risk from lions. In the garden of Eden, all animals were vegan. Check out your new testament. I'm not sure which one it was (maybe Paul, he gets up to a lot) but one of the disciples goes to his friends house, sunbathes on the roof, gets heatstroke and hallucinates that God tells him that it's fine to eat all animals. Then he wrote it down and put it forward as the total troof.

Thats different from saying god created animals for us to eat, I know full well he said it was okay to eat them, but did he create them for food? Nope.

I suppose he expected our stomachs to spontaneously produce the necessary proteins and oils that are primarily provided by meats and not commonly available from vegetable based food stuffs.

Well what else were they put on the earth for, besides food?
The only other uses I can think of are sport or transportation.

...Animals make good friends. Not everything in the world has to be used to fulfill human purposes.
